Dr. Jessica McAlpine

Dr. Jessica McAlpine is an incoming Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Molecular Classification of Gynecologic Cancers, Dr. Chew Wei Chair in Gynecologic Oncology, Co-Head of the Division of Gynecologic Oncology, and Professor at the University of British Columbia in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. As a surgeon-scientist practicing at BC Cancer and Vancouver General Hospital, she has built a research program focused on the development and application of molecular tools to stratify risk and direct care for people with gynecological cancers. Her research in the molecular triage of gynecological cancers has resulted in changes to practice and has led to international clinical trials in endometrial, vulvar and ovarian cancers.
