Arabella Helgason

Arabella graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia in 2023. Upon graduation, she started a role as a clinical research assistant with the Uterine Health Research Lab in the UBC Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and assisted in multiple projects including investigating feasible and acceptable screening methods for endometrial cancer screening and risk reduction. Arabella is currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in the UBC Women+ and Children’s Health Sciences (WACH) program. As part of her thesis work, Arabella is involved in identifying the effects of pharmaceutical exposures on endometrial cancer risk and disease progression. She is excited to contribute to the progress of gynaecological cancer knowledge and to support women’s health research.
