Endometrial cancer (EC) is the most common gynecological cancer in Canada and is the only reproductive cancer where the number of new cases per year is rising. This study will investigate less invasive methods to detect EC instead of endometrial biopsies, which are the current standard for diagnosis and can be painful.
The goal of this study is to combine data from health questionnaires, medical records and non-invasive biological tests (vaginal DNA and microbiome swabs, pH) to predict the risk of EC, better understand the progression of the disease, and identify opportunities for intervention.
Through our study gynecologists, we are recruiting:
- Participants aged 35 years or older,
- With an intact uterus,
- Who are scheduled to undergo diagnostic evaluation for abnormal uterine bleeding (AUB) via biopsy
